1998, LAUNCH OF THE FIRST « telecom »: COMORETEL / GLOBAL 269
The purpose of the Comoretel project, conducted in partnership with Schneider Brother Partners Ltd., was to facilitate growth of the telecommunications segment in East Africa within the framework of international deregulation. Its agreements with both public and private operators enabled it to offer a unique series of "carrier" and "value" telecom products.
These products enabled Comoretel to enter the field of international telecommunications with a project for a wireless, "switched" and ATM infrastructure, while supplying carriers, in order to offer a series of services that considerably reduced international access costs.
2007, signature of a collaboration agreement with the telecommunications and television group Atlas Group Interactive.
The objective is to set up agreements with a panel of 20 African countries to rent blocks of telephone numbers to be used to develop micro payment services and new telecom services.
Each country that wishes can grant a block of telephone numbers to ATLAS INTERACTIVE GROUP, which, in exchange, will develop micro payment services that will very significantly increase the revenues of the signing countries' national telecom companies. This initial panel of 20 countries should be rapidly followed by another, larger one in eastern Europe and Asia
